I’m a little anxious about graduation but I’m mostly excited. I feel anxious because of all the work I have to get done for post-graduation. I have to worry about college, tuition, money, tests, and grades but I’ve been waiting for this all my life. I want to see what it’s like to be independent and I know this experience will also make me more responsible. I worked really hard to be where I am today and the graduation ceremony will be a good way to celebrate and recognize all the work that I did during the past four years.
Some of the preparations I have taken for post-graduation include, accepting my admission to my dream college, looking for an apartment, getting a car and my driver’s license, and signing up for placement tests. California State University Fresno has been my dream college since I started high school. I applied and got admitted and which makes me excited to start college. I know that Fresno State is the college that I will be attending so I’ve been looking for apartments but I still haven't found one that meets my needs.
Some of the things I still need to do before graduation is my exit interview, taking my placement test, completing applications, getting an apartment, getting my license, and of course graduate. I wanted to do the early completion for my exit interview. Sadly, I wasn’t able to meet my goal but I already have the date for my interview which will be, Wednesday, March 16th at 4:30 p.m. I feel more than ready to do my exit interview. I also have the date for my English Placement Test, Saturday, March 19th at 8:00 p.m. in Bakersfield. I’m still not sure how I will get there but I’m ready to take it. Since I will be moving to Fresno State I have to look for an affordable and safe apartment. I’m also going to be driving back and forth and I’m going to need my license. I had my driving appointment already but I didn’t pass my test. I plan to make another appointment by the beginning of April. Last but not least, I have to graduate. I have been waiting for this all my life but in order to do that I have to finish all my courses and that is mostly why I’m stressed out.
I’m looking forward to graduation. This year has been the most stressful of all. I have difficult classes, homework, tests, college applications, scholarships, financial aid, clubs, and drama. I look forward for this semester to end already so I can get a little break.
